First Semester Extra Credit Book & Responses

Directions for Book Responses (worth more Extra Credit):

     •      Read one or more of the books listed below.  You are limited to TWO book responses for extra credit per semester!

  • After you have read the book TYPE a response that is 2-3 pages in length in which you do the following:

     1. Summarize the book, including specific details

     2. Choose ONE character or historical figure in the book and describe them with detail

     3. Describe what you learned about the time period or the historical personalities portrayed, based on that book

  • After you have viewed the film TYPE a response that is 1-2 paragraphs in length in which you do the following:

     1. Summarize the Film

     2. Choose ONE scene in the film and describe it with detail

     3. Do some research and describe how accurate or inaccurate the film was in its depiction of the characters and time period.

     4. Describe what you learned about the time period or the historical personalities portrayed, based on that film
